When is the best time to schedule our newborn photo session?
The ideal time for a newborn photo session is within the first 10 to 20 days after birth. At this age, babies tend to sleep deeply and naturally assume curled-up positions, making for soft and intimate images. However, if your baby is older, there’s no problem every age has its unique beauty
All photos will be delivered within 6 weeks of the session.
Where does the photo session take place?
Newborn sessions are held exclusively at your home or in a professional studio I provide. I do not offer outdoor sessions for newborns, as they require a calm and controlled environment to ensure comfort and safety.
How long does a newborn session last?
A newborn session typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. However, it’s important to stay flexible, as we will follow your baby’s rhythm, with breaks for feedings, cuddles, or diaper changes as needed.
What type of photos do you take?
I specialize in lifestyle photography, capturing authentic moments and natural connections between you and your baby. The focus is on a relaxed atmosphere with no forced poses or heavy props. The goal is to create soft, intimate images.
Do you offer macro photography of the baby?
Yes, I love incorporating macro shots to capture the small, delicate details: hands, feet, eyelashes, and first expressions. These close-up images are essential for preserving the unique traits of your baby and creating a gallery full of precious memories.
Can parents and siblings participate in the session?
Absolutely. The session is centered on your family as a whole. Siblings are welcome, and I ensure that everyone feels comfortable and included in the photos.
What should we wear for the session?
Before the session, I will provide you with a styling guide, which includes tips on colors and clothing choices that will harmonize beautifully with my photography style. This guide is designed to ensure a cohesive and timeless aesthetic for your images.
Do you retouch the photos?
Yes, all the images you receive will be carefully retouched. I enhance the skin while preserving natural features. Temporary imperfections, like redness, are minimized, but I strive to maintain an authentic and natural look.
How many photos will we receive after the session?
Depending on the package you choose, you will receive:
•Poetic Story: 15 retouched photos
•The Storyteller: 30 retouched photos
Additional photos can be purchased after you receive your gallery.
When will we receive our photos?
Your online gallery will be available within 6 weeks of the session. You will be able to view and select your favorite images online.
What if my baby is unsettled during the session?
Don’t worry! I am experienced with newborns and will work at your baby’s pace. Every session is conducted with patience and flexibility. If your baby needs time to settle or additional breaks, we’ll take all the time needed to capture the best moments.
